Laak Woodworks started in a 750 sq. ft. shop in the backyard of our home in old town Berthoud. Originally a farmer's tool shed, then homeowner garage, I have converted its use once more. Factory it was not, but rather a comfortable place for one or two men to build custom pieces from wood.
I recently moved out of the original shop and into a new space just a few blocks from the old location. The only thing missing? My shop cat, Sid.
Well, it happened again... As my business continues to prosper, I have found it necessary to move into a bigger shop. The space has plenty of room to store my collection of reclaimed and exotic woods...
And, tucked away in the corner, consuming prized real estate on the floor, a huge lathe from the 1900's that I'm converting to turn 6' diameter slabs...
