Laak Woodworks started in a 750 sq. ft. shop in the backyard of our home in old town Berthoud. Originally a farmer's tool shed, then homeowner garage, I have converted its use once more. Factory it was not, but rather a comfortable place for one or two men to build custom pieces from wood.
I recently moved out of the original shop and into a new space just a few blocks from the old location. The lighting is great, the space accommodates a drafting area, cutting area, my new 3HP spiral cutterhead thickness planer, my collection of bench planes, and ample storage for wood and supplies. The only thing missing? My shop cat, Sid.
